This year in Morgon the theme was to the four seasons! What else when you could have the four season in one week-end in reality too. The end of April wasn’t so hot but many friends came and we had a joyful and warm time! It was also the first time our neighbour Michel Bettane came at the domaine… Coming for the aperitif he didn’t leave before late at night. Welcome!

If the first day consists of workshops, later in the afternoon is a livetasting where we could discover Loire Valley Wines as well as wine bottles brought up by participants. The occasion for me to share my Mâcon and Beaujolais Villages. A first for my new bottles!

Bottles are sold at the property price, so it’s time to enjoy ! plus getting my wine in France gets much easier and my life much simplier as I don’t need to visit the post office with my boxes.

Sometimes it’s a pleasure to day dream under the blue sky, you also have much harder days with fog, rain, cold and humidy. Once done, you’re proud and happy, looking to the horizon thinking of the green leaves and red grapes to come.

I just sit there, stay quiet and watch. Rare moments.

Thank you so much for your enthousiasm and participation in choosing my new wines and labels. The 3000 bottles of Mâcon Blanc from Olivier Fichet arrived in my family vineyard in Beaujolais this week, the 2010 Fleurie is opening, elegant and flowery – ready to be drunk, so is the Provence rosé – powerful – Crunchy and full of fruit.

I will see some of you at Vinisud tomorrow and was so excited this week to open the new wines with friends at Vinotank, Paris

You see this picture. No you can’t really. it’s all you feel at a wine exhibition. Blurry. Sometimes it’s very crowded, people love your wines. You have fun discussing the brand and everyone’s history. Some other times you are tired, it’s more quiet, you look around and see many like you. Sometimes you meet old friends faces, sometimes you don’t know a name. You do your best, it’s a challenge.

At the end of the day, it all went fast and you spent a great moment. You barely can stay up and have you notebook full of names, business cards and invisible memories. Lots of work still to be done at home, getting back in touch and believing strongly.

Thank you to all that came to visit me at France-Vins and for Sopexa Belgium to let me live the experience. I’ll be back with a smile

After a long process of selection, my jury had kept 5 mâcons blancc for me to chose from. I’ve met the winners, tasted the wines again and found a fit with Olivier Fichet.

Olivier is a smart and kind winemakers that is already famous in the hood for his delicious mâcons. We selected the Mâcon Burgy and the Mâcon Terroir de la Cra at the Paris tasting. But I will brand one of his other Mâcon-Villages which were more affordable. This two others will also be available as part of my selection but without the Miss Vicky Wine Label.

Story to be followed

Wine labels are in the making, I’m waiting for the first real drafts and the vote will end tomorrow. All the wine samples are now in Paris after a hectic week-end in beaujolais… And I’m only expecting the Provence rosé 2011.

There are still the wine data sheet to finish translating and printing and the final prices to set. We are almost there, to the Thalys that will lead me to France-Vins. I’m a bit nervous and very exciting to go on with my brand. Thank you all for the comforting support and positive words!

France-Vins was born in 2005 and is a human size wine exhibition for quality interaction between buyers and winemakers. It has proven this by being one of the main source of wine import for Benelux. I know a few wineries in the list and can’t wait to finally be on there side of the table.
