Leaving in Bordeaux, rocked by the vineyard all year long, it was difficult to not succumb. It’s thanks to the syndicat of Bordeaux & Bordeaux Superieur that I could do my pre-selection, and with some luck, my jury selected blind the château d’Haurets from the Ducourt Family amongst the best. The Ducourt have the biggest family vineyard in the Entre-deux-mers region and are fervent defendor of the Bordeaux white identity. Jonathan Ducourt became a friend, it’s him who is in charge of selling the wines of the châteaux. His grand-parents still live in the Entre-deux-mers and observe, with an experimented eye, their children and grand children evolve in the vineyard.
