Beaujolais Nouveau arrives just on time to help us go out. Generally coming right when the weather gets colder, it is calling the Christmas tree. It imposes itself  to you in the street just when you are thinking of keeping warm inside and watch TV.

This year, when we are still shivering with salty eyes, it’s coming back again. Since more than 60 years and today, it’s here, it didn’t weaken. It’s unruly, inciting you to go out, taunting everyone passing by with its cheeky dark purple color. It’s having fun with labels and some unsophisticated aromas that blow your mind. Often condemned, banished, it goes on provoking by screaming to everyone that can hear that it has arrived… “Beaujolais will maintained tradition, proud, more than ever, to be French!” (Interbeaujolais)

Simplistic, vibrant and full of sunshine thanks to the beautiful harvest 2015, I love Beaujolais Nouveau for its eternal youth. Because it’s a wine that gathers, that doesn’t pretend. Because it is 75cl of joy and frivolity. This gamay just want one thing: to gather us, make us smile, make us talk to each other and maybe at the end of the day… make you sing!

If you take the Beaujolais-Villages from Christophe Paris, you will even be able to make it age for a few years, it is on sale in all Repaire de Bacchus in Paris but also in Ireland with Curious Wines and in Brussels at Les Canailles du Chatelain, Les Eleveurs or La CaveàVin.be.

In it’s organic version with my cousin Quentin Harel, it’s going down very easily, it will wake you up by screaming “fruit”!

Beaujolais Nouveau 2015 has arrived!

I will be out for the “apéro”, find me at Repaires de Bacchus this Thursday (Repaire de Bacchus Bretagne, 14h/17h) and Friday  (Repaire de Bacchus Bayen 14h/17h), and also with Wine Republik at BHV Thursday in the afternoon and at la Recyclerie Friday at the beginning of the evening.
