"Just for you that is asking me where I come from and overall, where I live."

But where do I live?

Just for you that is asking me where I come from and overall, where I live.

After a few days in Brussels, people think I am moving to Belgium. I even ask myself if I’m not actually moving to Belgium. Strange. What it is really, is that every time someone asks me where I live I have to take a deep breath, people’s idea of where I actually live are tricking me, I happen to doubt. In my body, in my head it’s yet clear, I go where I have to be, inside of me a small voice is telling me.

I have three houses : Bordeaux, Paris, Fleurie, each of them with a personal history. Since my sixteen years old, I travel, I move house, for my study first, for love overall, for holidays and for my work.

Here, Gare du Midi, in the north, in Brussels, bags around me but no more wine in my luggages. I came to Belgium for the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles that was celebrating its 20 years old, a long story an many great people to meet. Under the rain, between wind gusts and friends, I also took the time to talk about Beaujolais and to sell Vicky’s wines. It is important and it was great. Tonight I will sleep in Paris, tomorrow in Bordeaux, then I will come back to Paris to leave to Malta. On the way back, I will stop in Fleurie to admire the landscape, tidy the bottle lines and I will soon be in Provence, it is Vinocamp. After a few days, I will take the road to Bordeaux, stopping in Languedoc. The month will end in Verona, a great wedding is getting prepared before the London Wine Fair. It’s not that complicated. It’s my life. It is the life of many adventurers but also journalist and sales people.

It took two years to my mum to understand I lived in Bordeaux. My friends need a compass. That’s because, as if I was trying to loose everyone around me, I grew up in Paris, I sale Fleurie all around the world and I often come back home with strange short cuts. My house in Bordeaux is far from all my other nests, but it is screwed in a dynamic city that is vibrating for the sake of wine, we feel good there.

My father is a winemaker in Beaujolais since 8 years, the vineyard has been in the family for 7 generations. Before he was working in Paris where is sells the majority of his wine today. My mother stayed in Paris but comes in Fleurie for holidays. Being a Parisian and A inhabitant from Fleurie is easy, it’s 2h door to door if you take the TGV. I am between Paris, Bordeaux and Fleurie to follow the adventures of the family and day after day, build on my life.

Beaujolais is first a land where I spent my holidays, simply a land, with roots. Tomorrow we’ll see. You should come, just to see.
