I was suddenly called in New York by my importer Gabriella Wines. The goal was to be part of the Burgundy Wine Week, they organised for the second time this May. I finally left before the event, logic , but what a trip!
My first wine, Vicky’s Fleurie – proudly made by my Dad – had arrived in the big city in January. Crossing the ocean, sharing a burger and a smile, that was the first dream the grapes had when they where separated from mummy vine in september 2010.
Gabriella’s sales team has all to win: young, smiling, energetic and passionate, they are fighting for the sake of French wine love in NYC. Following a wine consultant a day, I’ve met many of the wineshops and restaurants that already had my wines on shelves or will soon do. It was incredible to adventure the New York labyrinth streets, drive around Brooklyn, share a drink on rooftop or deep down the cellars. My wine feels very at ease there, I can tell.
Thank you to all that made this trip a success, specially to Jessica, Jacques, Guillaume, Marion and Joffey and a big up and a huge hug to Keith Beaver and Shannon Mustipher that hosted my party tastings.
Long life to Gabriella Wines!
