Vicky's adventures

Vicky’s Provence is out at domaine de l’Anticaille

millesime 2012

After too many rainy days, a stop over Provence became required. That was my luck to be on the Provence road today, to enjoy the sunny wind of montagne Sainte Victoire and spend a few hours with Frédéric Féraud.

Frederic now works for his family vineyard at domaine de L’Anticaille. He is a lawyer that couldn’t leave the family vineyard behind. With the very small harvest (80% loss) and all that still needs to be made at l’Anticaille, he came just on time. Passionate by his new job, happy to help the family, he was telling me about last year frost, all the new vines they replant around, the few cypress he pulled out for the visitors to see the view and all he wants to do to welcome guests better at the vineyard. Soon you’ll be able to have nice wine tastings while enjoying the view, just like in Cezanne’s painting. Frederic is a gentleman of the kind, managing with a soft touch.

Three years ago, I’ve chosen the Côtes de Provence Sainte Victoire for my vintage when meeting the winemaker Coralie Denis, now it’s been two years I work with the Côtes de Provence. I must say that even if the harvest was very small, the wine makes it up for it this year.

Delicate, elegant and most surprising spicy. You’ll feel white flowers and peppers, white peach and a long and round palate. Time to relax, you’re in Provence.

If you are lucky to go spend a day in Aix-en-Provence, you’ll be able to enjoy the white, the red and all the other rosé style they make, all with the name of a different dance, that’s how it goes at the vineyard.

Let me know when you’re around, I’ll make sure you can have a sip.
