Borough Wines Got the Mojo @London

The Vicky Languedoc Tasting was on, but where do you find breakthrough Languedoc wines in London for a perfect tasting?

As in my previous article, I am asking: where do you find breakthrough Languedoc wines in London, for a perfect tasting? And I still have the same answer: Borough Wines.

At the heart of Borough Market,  it is the cutest wine shop in the famous gourmet and trendy market of London Bridge. There is Muriel, a Frenchy that has character and chooses her wine in consequence. She is a Languedoc fan and features Château Grézan. Their wines meet quality and personality, they are good money for value and diverse enough to match each occasion.

So if Muriel’s team likes atypical sensational wines. Why not bring along my favorite to the city? Ryan O’connell agreed, and in Paris we met to swap the Mojo and his big brothers for a cross country rail road trip. After they left their beautiful Languedoc, O’Vineyeards wines saw the sacré Coeur in Montmartre to breath its charms. Full of energy and flavor, they went back down the hill,  had their time under the channel, and went rocky docky till the maison du Languedoc were Borough Wines tried them.

Believe it or not, it was such a success that you can now find the Mojo from O’vineyard in the Borough Wine Shop. All to please cool Ryan and smiling me. Come try the Mojo at the next London Tasting at Imperial college! (23rd of March)

Vicky’s selection for O’Vineyards:
O’Vineyards is featured by the O’connell, an American family that settled in Languedoc to shake up the region. They make beautiful and cool new world wines in old world wines and Ryan (Liz and Joe’s son) is doing all in can to help the region grow better. Read his blog: http://love-that-languedoc.com/.

Mediterranean Mojo: A magnifique pleasure wine. Like a high quality entry-level Bordeaux but with a lot more sunshine. The lightest and brightest, it is a mouthful of ripe dark fruits still with structure and crisp tannins. You can have it by itself and it would be the perfect deal on a relaxing Sunday afternoon with friends.
Proprietor Reserve: Bigger, it is a food wine, richest and harder to grasp. All hand harvested it has decadent black fruit, beautiful spice and excellent structure.
O’Syrah: On the rich pepper and spices, it is a wine to warm you up that stands up against many of the Northern Rhone wines.

Borough Wines also just welcomed Denise, the Californian chick in London, that is the best sleuth for wines. Visit Borough and have a sip of the English wines she just brought in! Recommended by a Frenchy and an American, no biases possible here, they are real and good.
