#cabernet Day Paris, Wine by One Style

Cabernet day this week has been a vibrant moment in over 70 different locations in the world, and so it was in Paris. A team of wine enthousiasms, wine students, wine bloggers and other wine professionals got together, for everyone’s pleasure. For such a tweetup,  what a better place than a connected wine bar?

In the heart of the city of Love, next to luxurious and enigmatic place Vendôme, is Wine by One;  a wine bar like no others… but so are many, but then why this one? Wine by One has the most enomatics machines you have ever seen in the world which grant its wine list over 100 wines by the glass, amongst them 2 dozens with cabs. So Where else to go?

Exit “déjà vu” and meet the Enomatic
Wine by One is a wine bar that gives you a futurist experience of wine -  Tweetups are also part of an adventurous and modern wine experience, as the two include new technologies, and so matched well. Enomatics are a new kind of machines allowing you to automatically serve a glass of wine without spoiling the rest of the content, so you can open a valuable bottle and decide to not finish it too soon.

It is a way to allow a larger spectrum of persons to try some of the most expensive and rare wines, those that are usually only found by the bottle and only affordable for a few.  At Wine by One, on the side, you have touch screens with technical and historical informations about the wines, so that you can move around and select your wines according to what you learnt.

We love the Wine Maker
This whole futurist atmosphere excited all of the newcomers last Thursdays so that “wow “and “waw” were heard around. To counter act the lack of humanity sometimes found in machines, the Château du Petit Thouars wine producers – Sebastien made the party run with his wonderful cabernet franc  from Touraine. Tannic and structured, his wines are closer to Chinon than any Touraine I’ve ever tried and as such, they pleased us all. Sebastien was also on the Vicky Wine Tasting at Vintage Wine Bar last March and just had an article on the Huffington post… Seb, you’re soon to be famous ;)

Later on.. when the bar was more quiet, I found my blogger friends in the VIP area. After a few cabs time Mr Château des Moriers arrived on his scooter… and time was to Beaujolais. Thinking of it… what’s better after a massive cab than a good Gamay ? Let’s the fun go on !
